Adobe FrameMaker 8 brings a good news for localisation enthusiasts. It provides full Unicode support, so that we can finally publish most languages in FrameMaker without applying tedious and awkward internal workarounds.

FrameMaker 8 also offers XML and DITA functionality; documents created using these features will no longer require extensive formatting in each target language, representing a cost savings to our customers. Despite the move of many companies to XML-based authoring solutions, FrameMaker continues to be the publishing application used by the many customers. Now offering structured authoring support, FrameMaker looks like it will maintain this popularity.
